Bud Pope

Bud Pope is the founder and CEO of BlueSky Resources, a company that provides remote sensing and cloud solutions for energy companies. Prior to BlueSky, Bud was the CEO and founder of Spatial Energy, a geospatial content business focused on major energy companies worldwide. Bud successfully exited Spatial Energy in 2014 with DigitalGlobe.

Bud has over 30 years of experience in the energy industry. Bud began their career as an audit supervisor at KPMG in 1978. Bud then became the controller of NBI in 1980 and the CFO of Solbourne Computer in 1987. In 1991, they became the CEO and president of Green Mountain Geophysics. In 2000, they became the general manager and executive vice president of land products at Input/Output Inc., where they led a 1100 person operating unit worldwide for a seismic technology company. In 2003, they became the general manager of energy at Digital Globe.

Bud Pope is a highly successful entrepreneur with a track record of building and exiting companies in the energy industry. Bud has a deep understanding of the needs of energy companies and has developed innovative solutions to help them operate more efficiently and effectively.

Bud Pope's educational career began with a degree in business from the University of Colorado Boulder. Bud then went on to earn their certification as a CPA from the State of Colorado.
