Rafael Burgos

Rafael Burgos is an accomplished artist with extensive experience in various prominent roles within the film and design industry. As the Founding Director of the Fritanga School of Art and Design since November 2017, Rafael has been instrumental in advancing the arts and illustration sector in Nicaragua, focusing on traditional academic drawing and storytelling for commercials, games, and comics. Notable projects include serving as a Storyboard Artist for Blumhouse Productions on "INSIDIOUS 4 The Last Key," an Illustrator for Bad Hat Harry Productions on "The Taking of Deborah Logan," and contributing as a Costume Illustrator for Marvel Studios' "THOR" and "Transformers 3" at DreamWorks. Rafael's background includes diverse roles such as an Environment Artist at Summit Entertainment for "TWILIGHT Breaking Dawn" and a Character Artist at Iron Head Studios. Educational achievements include a BFA in Illustration from Ringling College of Art and Design and a Masters in Production Design from the American Film Institute.
