Thomas Scherer

Thomas Scherer has an extensive career in the music industry, currently serving as President of Global Catalog Recorded & Music Publishing North America at BMG - The New Music Company since January 2010. Their responsibilities have included leadership roles in repertoire, marketing, and international writer services across various positions within the company. Prior to this, Scherer was the Owner/Managing Director of Y&M and consulted for BMG Rights Management in 2009, and held the position of Managing Director at Parasongs Japan LTD & Parasongs Europe GmbH from 2006 to 2009. Scherer holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, earned between April 1982 and July 1986.
