Abhoy Vaidya

Abhoy Vaidya serves as Managing Director and Country Head for Trade & Treasury Solutions at BNP Paribas since 2005, focusing on transforming the traditional trade finance business into a specialized working capital and supply chain financing group for large corporate clients, including the design and launch of new products within Canada that integrate into BNP Paribas’ global offerings. Prior to this role, Abhoy Vaidya was Senior Director of Capital Finance at CIT from 2000 to 2005, where efforts were geared towards positioning CIT as a significant North American competitor in non-leasing structured debt through the origination of business and design of innovative financial structures. Abhoy Vaidya holds an MBA in Corporate Finance and Strategy from the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management and a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering in Data & Voice Communications from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
