Karen Davis is a Certified Governance Trainer at BoardSource since May 2013, specializing in training and coaching nonprofits in board leadership and governance practices. Previously, Karen served as a Commissioner for the City of Philadelphia Art Commission from February 2008 to April 2016 and contributed as a Board Member for the Women's Medical Fund from January 2015 to January 2016. As a Consultant for the Art Pride NJ Foundation from October 2011 to September 2012, Karen facilitated collaborations between business leaders and foundation members to foster partnerships between the business and arts sectors. Karen also held the position of President & CEO at the Arts & Business Council of Greater Philadelphia from January 1981 to September 2011, where efforts led to the development of over twenty programs, resulting in more than $6 million in resources for the arts. Karen holds a BFA in Theatre with a focus on Lighting Design from Carnegie Mellon University and studied at Emerson College.
