Secil Tore

Secil Tore has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Secil is currently working as a Software Development Test Engineer at Boats Group since May 2021. Prior to this, they worked at CYDEO where they held various positions, including Industry Coach, IT Technical Mentor, and Full Stack Java Developer. In their Full Stack Java Developer role, they showcased expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Spring framework, Hibernate, JavaScript, and Angular. Secil also demonstrated skills in Git source code control, CI/CD pipeline, and SecDevOps environment.

Before joining CYDEO, Secil worked at emocha Health as an IT Consultant and Senior QA Engineer/Software Developer. In these roles, they were responsible for assuring and improving the quality of Emocha products through manual and automation testing. Secil also led software testing efforts, developed and maintained test plans and support documents.

Prior to working at emocha Health, Secil had experience at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Turkey as a Computer Operator/QA Specialist. Secil started their career as a Science Teacher at Bil Dershaneleri.

Secil's early work experience includes a role as an Area Manager/Data Analyst at Promart Yönetim Danışmanlık ve Eğitim Hizmetleri Ltd. Şti. In this position, they designed and implemented technical solutions for business problems, managed mystery shoppers, and provided communication to stakeholders.

At the beginning of their career, Secil worked as a Linux System Administrator at Ege University. In this role, they managed a network of over 200 computers, updated the computer laboratory infrastructure, and assisted students with computer operations.

Secil Tore's education history includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Astronomy and Space Sciences from Ege University (1997-2004). Secil then pursued a Master of Science degree in Astrophysics from Istanbul University (2007-2009). Additionally, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Physics Teacher Education from Sakarya University (2006-2007) and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Business Administration and Management from Anadolu University (2006-2010).

Apart from their formal education, Secil Tore has also earned several certifications. These include the Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 8 Programmer from Oracle (obtained in June 2019), Professional Scrum Master I from Scrum.org (obtained in May 2019), IARS (International Advanced Research School in Physics) from Boğaziçi University (obtained in August 2008), and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (obtained in October 2022). Additionally, they have participated in courses and programs such as High Energy Astrophysics, IRAF (Image Reduction and Analysis Facility) and Spectral Reduction, and ISYA (International School for Young Astronomers) at various institutions, although the specific dates of completion are unknown.
