From 1999 to 2007, they were the CEO of Planeta Virtual, a company that focused on defining and modeling new applications and solutions for management systems.
In 2002, they became the CEO of Globalmedia, a position they held until 2007.
In 2004, they joined Espaço Atlântico as a Board Member and later became the VP of Marketing from 2007 to 2008.
Starting in 2007, Reinaldo Ferreira worked as a Solutions Architect at Planeta Virtual, focusing on research in areas such as the Semantic Web and the Enterprise. Reinaldo continued in this role until 2018.
In 2010, they founded TakeaCity.com and served as the CEO until 2015. TakeaCity.com was a global project aimed at providing travel-related services.
Since 2012, they have been working as an Author for EU-Startups (Menlo Media UG), where they contribute articles and content.
In 2017, Reinaldo Ferreira joined Boavista F.C. as the CTO and later became the Chief Marketing & Technology Officer, lifting the club's digital presence and establishing the Boavista Innovation Lab. In 2022, they assumed the role of Vice President of Information Technology and Innovation.
Starting in 2019, they also held positions at the Portuguese Esports Federation, serving as the Vice President and a member of the Management Commission.
Lastly, they were involved with ABS, starting in 2003. Reinaldo served as a Professor, Research Lead, President of the Scientific Council, and the Management and Information Systems Degree Director.

Reinaldo Ferreira obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Informatics from Universidade Portucalense (UPT) between the years 2010 and 2015. Prior to that, they completed a Post Graduation in Management at Atlântico Business School in 1999. Reinaldo furthered their education by earning an Engineer's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidade do Porto from 1984 to 1990. Reinaldo also attended Escola Secundário Oliveira Martins from 1978 to 1981, completing their high school education.
