Ivar Laks

Ivar Laks is the current Director of Product at Bob W. Ivar was previously the Product Manager at Ridango AS from May 2016 to August 2020. At Ridango, Ivar was responsible for the product manager for Ridango's customer-facing sales channels, which included ticketing websites and mobile apps. Ivar was also the product owner for two teams - Scrum rituals, backlog management, etc. Ivar was in charge of the product roadmap management, user testing, requirements gathering, analysis, negotiations with clients, design reviews, writing product and API spec, and participating in the sales process. Ivar was also the project manager for Movingo project - delivered an account-based ticketing solution and BoB standard (Swedish national ticketing standard for providing interoperability between different ticketing systems), which enables users to travel in Stockholm and surrounding counties by train and bus. Some of their other internal side gigs included inspection application design and development, ticket validator UI concept and development, etc.

The product scope that Ivar was responsible for included 19 ticketing websites in Estonia, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Lithuania with a component-based Angular front end architecture and Java backend. There were also 4 mobile apps in Estonia, Sweden, Lithuania. The monthly users were approximately 500 000 with yearly ticketing sales revenue approximating € 25 million.

Some of Ivar's achievements include successfully initiating and delivering a new ticketing web solution with new design and front end stack to numerous existing clients and all future clients. Ivar also successfully initiated and delivered new ticketing mobile app solution, which included the switch from native tech to React Native. Lastly, they delivered an account-based ticketing system and BoB standard to Movingo.

Ivar Laks has a Master of Arts in Design and Development of Virtual Environments from the University of Tartu, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Tallinn University of Technology.
