Jaana Hämäläinen

Jaana Hämäläinen has extensive experience in intellectual property and academia. As a Partner and European Patent Attorney at Boco IP Oy Ab since October 2000, Jaana Hämäläinen also serves as an External Expert Member for IPR matters at the Market Court of Finland from June 2020. Jaana Hämäläinen has undergone training at the European Patent Office in October 2006 through the Praktika Intern programme. Additionally, Jaana Hämäläinen has held postdoctoral research and PhD student positions at various universities, including the University of Helsinki and Cornell University Graduate School, specializing in plant pathology, plant virology, and molecular biology. Educational qualifications include a PhD from SLU - Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences and an MSc in Biotechnology from the University of Eastern Finland.
