Jörg Hehn

Jörg Hehn is a Principal Scientist and Research Project Leader at Boehringer Ingelheim since January 2013, specializing in Medicinal Chemistry. Responsibilities include designing and synthesizing target molecules, contributing to lead optimization projects, and co-leading numerous preclinical candidates and hit identification projects. Jörg has supervised three lab scientists and led a recruiting team resulting in over 20 PhD hires in three years. Prior experience includes a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California, Berkeley, and research at TU München, where Jörg earned a Dr. rer. nat. in Organic Chemistry. Jörg's credentials also include an undergraduate research stint at the University of Cambridge, a Diplom from The Philipp University of Marburg, and a Vordiplom from The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg.
