Randy Sheppard is a senior human resources executive with an exceptional record of providing expert leadership and strategic counsel, enabling the business to make people decisions with speed, agility and scale. For over two decades, he has served as a trusted advisor for executive council members, corporate vice presidents and senior leaders, delivering measurable results on a full range of human resources matters. Mr. Sheppard is a graduate of Mercer University and has completed studies at Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
Mr. Sheppard currently serves as the Senior Director of Human Resources supporting Government Operations, Sustainability and Corporate Strategy and Development organizations at Boeing’s global headquarters in Arlington, VA. Prior to his current role, he served as Senior Director of Human Resources for Boeing Commercial Airplanes. His portfolio of responsibilities includes strategic HR leadership and support to the 747, 767 and 777 programs. In addition to supporting some of Boeing’s most prominent airplane programs, he also provided strategic oversight as HR leader for Boeing’s Everett site. Adept at building exponentially capable teams, Mr. Sheppard helps advance the business by partnering with leaders to align priorities, reduce complexities, leverage common and consistent processes and enhance the value of the enterprise with a focus on leadership, culture and talent.
Mr. Sheppard previously served as Boeing’s Senior Director of Employee Relations–America West, where he led a team of more than 280 HR professionals. In this role, he positively shaped the company's culture toward greater excellence by creating functional strategies to enhance employee experiences at all levels. He was responsible for implementing and sustaining enhanced, consistent service delivery to effectively support a global workforce.
Prior to his Employee Relations role, Mr. Sheppard completed a two-year assignment as HR Director for Boeing Commercial Airplanes’ history-making Dreamliner commercial production facility in Charleston, South Carolina. In this role, he served as a core team member successfully defending two high-stakes union campaigns. During his tenure at BSC, he focused on driving leadership effectiveness and ensuring performance efficiencies and accountability at all levels.
Mr. Sheppard previously served in various HR roles spanning Corporate, Commercial Airplanes and Defense, Space and Security, where he demonstrated the ability to take on increasingly complex assignments across multiple businesses and locations.
