Matt O'Leary

Matt O'Leary is a skilled petroleum geologist with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. Currently employed at the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management since April 2020, Matt specializes in evaluating and updating hydrocarbon reserves in the Central Gulf of Mexico. Prior to this role, Matt served as a Lead MWD Field Engineer at Gordon Technologies, LLC, where responsibilities included managing MWD tools and mentoring entry-level engineers. Additional experience includes internships focused on exploration and production geology, as well as laboratory work and geoscientist roles at various companies. Matt holds a Master's degree in Petroleum Geology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Louisiana State University.
