Heather Calkins

Heather Calkins, M.Ed, is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in event management and music performance. Currently serving as the Director of University Special Events and Protocol at Boise State University since March 2011, Heather oversees the planning and execution of prestigious university events. Previously, Heather held the positions of Assistant Director of Special Events and Protocol and Management Assistant at Boise State University. In addition to an impressive administrative career in education, Heather is a violinist with the Syringa String Quartet and the Boise Philharmonic Association since May 2018 and September 1996, respectively. Heather's past role as Marketing Manager at Ballet Idaho further highlights a diverse background in both the arts and communication. Heather holds a Master of Educational Leadership from Boise State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of Idaho.
