Patrik Övreby

Patrik Övreby has a strong background in business, category management, and supply chain. Patrik has held various roles in different companies throughout their career.

Övreby began their career at ABB as an intern in the Logistics department. Following this, they joined Maquet Critical Care, where they worked on their master's thesis.

In 2006, Övreby joined ICA Sverige AB as a Business Analyst, later becoming a Project Manager in the Supply Chain Development team. Patrik was responsible for developing new approaches to staffing planning and forecasting, as well as commodity analysis. Patrik also served as a Business Developer, focusing on operational excellence and continuous improvement.

In 2011, Övreby joined Akademibokhandeln as a Head of Replenishment and Supply Chain Manager. Patrik then took on the roles of Category Manager for Books and Non-Books, where they had full profit and loss liability. Patrik established a new organization, developed category strategies, and had several direct reports.

Övreby then moved to Akademibokhandeln & Bokus, where they served as the Head of the Book Category team. Patrik was responsible for choosing and negotiating products, setting consumer prices, and managing the overall profitability of the book category. Patrik had eight direct reports and played a crucial role in the company's turnover.

Currently, Övreby is working at Bokusgruppen as the Business Director of Bokus Play and the Purchasing and Assortment Director.

Patrik Övreby attended the Stockholm School of Economics Executive Education in 2016 and completed the Accent Academy program. Patrik received their MSc in Industrial Engineering and Management from Linköping University, where they studied from 2000 to 2006. In 2003 and 2004, they also attended California State University - East Bay, focusing on Philosophy, Globalization, and History.
