Dale Schmaltz

Dale co-founded JustRight Surgical® (now Bolder Surgical™) in 2011. He has over 29 years of medical device development experience where he has contributed to over 50 patents and launched more than 10 successful products into new and existing markets. During his 15-year tenure at Valleylab/Covidien, Dale held positions of increasing responsibility in product and technology development including the role of VP R&D. As an early inventor on the platform, Dale championed the LigaSure™ vessel sealing technology from concept to a $500 million business. In addition to his experience at Covidien, Dale worked from 1990-1994 as an R&D Project Manager at SciMed Life Systems. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of North Dakota and an M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Marquette University.
