Shamila Khetarpal has an extensive work history. Shamila has been employed since 2001, starting as a Litigation Technology Specialist and Paralegal at Williams Montgomery & John. Shamila then became a Bhangra Dance Instructor at The Old Town School of Folk Music in 2003. From 2016 to 2019, they worked as a BollyX Instructor at the West Suburban YMCA, YMCA of Greater Boston and North Riverside Recreation. In 2019, they were the Site Lead for the Greater LaGrange YMCA Kindergarten Before and After Care Program, where they lead a team of 10 childcare workers, managing the day to day operation of the program onsite, and developed and implemented an early education program for kindergarten age children. Currently, Shamila is a Unit Lead, Case Investigator, Contact Tracer and Mentor at the PIH Community Tracing Collaborative, as well as a Community Support, Creative Solution, Community Mentor, Brand Ambassador and Choreographer for BollyX - The Bollywood Workout.
Shamila Khetarpal received a Bachelor of Science in Music Theory and Composition from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1999, having started their studies in 1995.
