Cheryl McDowell, ARM, serves as Vice President of the Education Practice Group at IMA Financial Group, Inc., a position held since September 1989. In tandem, Cheryl has also held the role of Vice President of Risk Management within the Education Practice Group at Bolton & Company from September 1989 until January 2024. Cheryl possesses a strong passion for assisting schools in developing effective risk management programs, emphasizing comprehensive audits of existing risk management and insurance practices. Schools have found value in Cheryl's risk management audits, using them as tools for benchmarking against peer institutions and fostering discussions at the board level regarding risk exposure and potential financial liabilities. Cheryl holds an Associate in Risk Management (ARM) from the Insurance Institute of America and additional qualifications from The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research.
