Josh Pope has a diverse range of work experience in engineering and project management. Josh started their career as a Civil Engineering Technician at ISG, Inc. in 2004, where they gained field experience in surveying and construction observation. Josh quickly became a surveying crew chief and took on responsibilities in construction observation and contract administration.
In 2008, Josh joined Edminster, Hinshaw, Russ and Associates, Inc. as a Project Engineer. Here, they worked on municipal engineering and private land development projects, providing coordination and determining efficient utility, grading, and roadway layouts. Josh also conducted hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for drainage concerns.
From 2011 to 2015, Josh worked as a Civil Engineer at ISG, Inc., showcasing their versatility and teamwork. Josh provided design, analysis, planning guidance, and project management for various projects, including municipal, site, and large-scale development. Josh secured funding through the assessment process and state and federal sources, and successfully navigated criteria to maintain project scope, budget, and schedule.
Since 2015, Josh has been with Bolton & Menk, Inc., initially serving as a Project Manager before taking on the role of Principal Engineer in 2020. Josh has been responsible for project conception to completion in different types of infrastructure and recreation projects. Their expertise includes utility and roadway engineering, site development engineering, water resource engineering, and recreation facility engineering.
Throughout their career, Josh has consistently provided technical and professional expertise to clients, empowering them to achieve their goals and aspirations.
Josh Pope earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Natural Science, specializing in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, from Saint John's University. Josh attended the university from 2003 to 2006. Subsequently, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Minnesota, graduating in 2008.
In addition to their degrees, Josh has obtained multiple certifications. Josh received the Professional Engineer (PE) certification from the Minnesota Board of AELSLAGID in May 2013 and from the Iowa Professional Licensing Bureau in August 2016. Additionally, they earned the LEED AP BD+C certification from the Green Building Certification Institute in December 2010 and the ENV SP certification from the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure in September 2021.
