Tim Lamkin Jr, PE has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering. Tim started their career as an Engineering Tech Intern with the City of Shawano, WI in 1997, where they gained experience in surveying and design of city streets. From 2003 to 2004, Tim worked as an Engineering Intern with the City of Woodbury, MN, where they assisted with plan reviews and traffic counting operations.

In 2004, Tim joined HR Green, Inc. as a Staff Engineer, where they assisted on various municipal, traffic, and transportation projects, including roundabouts, ADA compliance, and pedestrian, biking, and trail projects. Tim then progressed to the role of Project Engineer, taking on more responsibilities such as design, preparation of plans and specifications, construction administration, and observation. Tim's expertise also extended to preparing construction documents for the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

In 2011, Tim took on a volunteer position as Vice President and Treasurer of the Board of Directors for Westview Manor Condominium Association. In this role, they managed the property and facilities, created and managed committees, oversaw an elevator replacement project, tracked monthly expenses, prepared yearly budgets, and served as a liaison to the association's attorney.

Since 2013, Tim has been working at Bolton & Menk, Inc. Initially joining as a Senior Transportation Engineer, they worked on various municipal, traffic, and transportation projects, including roundabouts, ADA compliance, and pedestrian, biking, and trail projects. Tim'sresponsibilities included design, preparation of plans and specifications, construction administration, and observation. Tim's contributions to final highway designs involved multiple aspects such as alignments, profiles, cross sections, earthwork, storm sewers, quantity calculations, plan sheet production, special provisions, and project management. Tim also gained expertise in preparing Minnesota Department of Transportation preliminary and final design construction documents. Tim has recently been promoted to the role of Principal Transportation Engineer within the company.

Tim Lamkin Jr, PE earned a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Transportation from the University of Minnesota. Tim attended the university from 2000 to 2004. Prior to their time at the University of Minnesota, they briefly attended the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 1999-2000, but did not obtain a degree or declare a field of study.

In addition to their formal education, Tim Lamkin Jr, PE has obtained several certifications related to their field. Tim received certifications in Highway Design Level 1-3 Prequalification, Traffic Special Studies Options 1-3 Prequalification, Geometric Layouts Level 1-3 Prequalification, Transportation Planning Level 2-3 Prequalification, Roundabouts Low/High Demand/Volume Design Prequalification, Advanced Flexibility in Design, ADA Training, Bicycle & Pedestrian Toolbox, Pedestrian Facility Design, Aggregate (construction services), Bituminous Street Level I & II (construction services), Concrete Field Level I (construction services), Design of Construction Storm Water Pollution Plan, and Grading & Base Level I & II (construction services). These certifications were obtained between 2007 and 2013 from various institutions such as the Minnesota Department of Transportation and the University of Minnesota.
