John McGinlay

John McGinlay is a seasoned football professional with extensive experience across various roles in the sport. Currently serving as Club Ambassador for Bolton Wanderers Football Club since March 2020, McGinlay has previously held key positions such as Head of Recruitment at Ross County Football Club and Opposition Analyst/Senior Scout at Blackburn Rovers Football Club. Additional roles include Senior Scout at Blackpool Football Club, Chief Scout at Wigan Athletic Football Club, and Elite Performance Scout at the Scottish Football Association. McGinlay also boasts a strong background in coaching, having served as Director of Coaching at Cincinnati United Premier Soccer Club and Assistant Head Coach at Cincinnati Kings Soccer Club. Educationally, McGinlay attended Lochaber High School in Fort-William, Scotland, from 1976 to 1980.
