Derek McIntyre

Derek McIntyre has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Derek is currently working at Bombora as a Senior Software Engineering Manager since June 2021, after previously serving as a Software Engineering Manager from June 2020 to May 2021.

Prior to their tenure at Bombora, Derek held various roles at IGT, a gaming technology company. Their positions include Senior Manager of Software Engineering from October 2019 to June 2020, Manager of Software Engineering from March 2017 to October 2019, Software Engineer III from June 2015 to March 2017, Software Engineer II from January 2014 to June 2015, and Software Engineer I from July 2012 to January 2014.

Before joining IGT, Derek worked at Jeld-Wen as a Programmer Analyst Intern from June 2011 to June 2012. Additionally, they gained experience at KTEC 89.5fm, where they held multiple roles including Station Manager from June 2010 to May 2012, ASOIT Communications Coordinator from September 2010 to June 2011, ASOIT Web Developer from September 2009 to June 2011, and Network Engineer from September 2009 to June 2010.

Derek also served as the President of Oregon Delta at Phi Delta Theta Fraternity from June 2010 to October 2011.

Early in their career, Derek worked at Premier Press as a Software Developer/IT Assistant from June 2006 to September 2010, and at Oregon Institute of Technology as an ITS Helpdesk Assistant from March 2008 to March 2009.

Derek McIntyre's education history includes a Master's degree in Business Administration from Auburn University, which they obtained from 2017 to 2020. Prior to that, they attended the Oregon Institute of Technology from 2007 to 2012, where they pursued degrees in Software Engineering Technology and Computer Hardware Engineering Technology. Derek also minored in Applied Math. Between 2005 and 2007, Derek obtained a Diploma in Computer Science from The Center for Advanced Learning. Derek completed their high school education at Centennial High School, where they obtained a Diploma in General Education in 2007.
