Pernilla Turner Audibert has held a variety of roles in the scientific field since 1999. Pernilla began their career as a Lab Specialist at the Department of Human Molecular Biology & Genetics at the University of Utah. In 2007, they became a Post-doctoral Fellow at The Cooperative Institute for Research in the Environmental Sciences at the University of Colorado at Boulder, where they identified carbohydrate processing enzymes and characterized the pentachlorophenol degradation pathway in Sphingobium chlorophenolicum. In 2010, they joined GeoSynFuels as a Manager of Research & Development, where they led a research group of scientists and engineers and directed projects involving biomass decomposition, purification, separation, microbe engineering, fermentation, and scale-up. In 2017, they became a Principal at Altitude Bioscience LLC, and in 2018 they became the Chief Scientific Officer and Co-Founder of Bond, a company on a mission to create a better meat for pet nutrition.
Pernilla Turner Audibert obtained their PhD in Engineering (Biotechnology) from Lund University in 2007. Pernilla received their Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from The Faculty of Engineering at Lund University in 1999.
