Katherine Merrill, PHR

Katherine Merrill, PHR has a wealth of experience in the Human Resources field. Katherine began their career in 2010 as a Middle Grades Teacher / TFA Corps Member for Teach For America. In 2012, they joined Family Dollar as a Human Resources Business Partner, Human Resources Generalist, Sr. Corporate Recruiter, and Corporate Recruiter. In 2016, they moved to Saks Fifth Avenue as a Manager, Human Resources, where they served as an executive business partner to the General Manager of the store. That same year, they also joined Discovery Communications as a Manager, Human Resources Business Partner. In 2018, they joined Kargo as a Director, People Operations, and in 2019, they moved to Buffy as a Sr Director, People & Talent and Director, People & Talent. Most recently, in 2020, they joined Book of the Month as a VP of People, Talent, Recruiting & Customer Experience and VP of People, Talent & Recruiting.

Katherine Merrill holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Elon University, which they obtained in 2010. In 2017, they earned their Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI. In 2020, they earned their Best Self Management certification from 15Five and renewed their PHR certification from HRCI.
