Cristian Gherghe is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in software engineering and management. Currently serving as a Software Engineering Manager and Site Reliability Engineering Manager at Booking Holdings since October 2022, Cristian previously held the position of Principal Engineer/Tech Lead at ThoughtWorks, focusing on building an event-driven application platform utilizing NodeJs, TypeScript, Python, and Java. At Gemini Solutions, Cristian led the development of a multi-tenant SaaS application and a data ingestion platform, emphasizing performance and scalability in the cloud. Cristian's earlier roles include senior software engineering and team lead positions at Crossbyte Solutions, Redpoint Software Romania, and Aecute Switzerland, where various B2B applications and software solutions were developed. Cristian's foundational education includes an Engineer’s degree in Computer Science from the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest and a high school diploma in Informatics from National College "Ion Minulescu."
