Charley Rejsek has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. They started their career at Barnes & Noble, where they held various roles such as Department Manager, Assistant Store Manager, and District Training Cafe Manager. In these positions, they managed teams, maintained inventory, and implemented operational guidelines to drive sales. Charley also worked as a Community Business Development Manager at Barnes & Noble, where they developed client relationships and closed significant sales deals. They then moved on to become a National Business Development Coordinator, aligning sales initiatives to increase institutional sales.
Charley later joined the Texas Book Festival as a Logistics and Volunteer Coordinator, overseeing committee chairs and volunteers for the event. They organized vendor exhibits and managed event logistics. They also had a short-term contract with the Texas Book Festival.
Afterwards, Charley joined The Texas Tribune as a Sales & Events Manager, where they managed sales and organized events. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Executive Officer at BookPeople.
