Alexandra Strick is an accomplished author, consultant, and reviewer specializing in children's literature, with extensive experience in promoting disability representation and cross-cultural understanding through books. As a co-founder of Outside In World, Alexandra focuses on celebrating global children's literature, particularly in translation. At Booktrust, numerous roles have included Deputy Director and Head of Bookstart, managing initiatives for accessible literature and resources for visually impaired and deaf children. Alexandra's dedication to authentic representation in children's books is also evident through the founding of Inclusive Minds. Additionally, Alexandra has a background in project management for disability projects at Whizz-Kidz and resource development for St John Ambulance. A trained photographer, Alexandra has honed skills in capturing family and children's portraits while maintaining a passion for the arts. Alexandra holds a BA hons degree in English and French from the University of Southampton.
