Amelia Martínez Jiménez

Director of the Italian and Germand Teams at Boomalang

Amelia Martínez Jiménez has worked in a variety of roles since 2014. Amelia began their career as an English and French Teacher at Centro Concertado Salesianos San Juan Bosco, where they developed English and French lesson plans for high school and vocational training students and acted as a Form Teacher. Amelia also worked as a Freelancer, providing translations for the Le Chien Gallery website and the Rotosa&lo website. In 2014, they also began working as an English Teacher-in-Training at I.E.S. Fuente Nueva, where they developed English lesson plans, designed didactic materials, and corrected tasks and exams. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as a Spanish Language Assistant at Lycée Polyvalent Jean Henri Fabre, creating teaching materials and developing Spanish lesson plans for high school students. During this time, they also worked as a Private Tutor, providing English and French private tuitions, conversation classes, and classes to obtain English and French Language certificates. From 2017 to 2019, they worked at Boomalang as a Director of the Italian and German Teams and a Featured Spanish Speaker. In this role, they managed the Italian and German teams, hired and trained Featured Speakers, and monitored call quality. Finally, since 2020, they have been working at I.E.S. Haría as a French Teacher, Head of the French Language Department, and Form Teacher. In this role, they have developed French lesson plans for high school students, acted as a Form Teacher, and served as Head of the French Department.

Amelia Martínez Jiménez completed their University Degree in Translation and Interpreting with a specialization in English and French as a first and second foreign language at Universidad Pablo de Olavide in 2013. Amelia then went on to complete a Master's Degree in Teaching Training for Secondary Education and Vocational Training, with a specialization in Teaching Foreign Languages, at the same university in 2014. In 2018, they completed a Course in Didactics of Spanish as a Foreign Language and Second Language at Universidad Internacional Isabel I de Castilla. Amelia also completed a Course in Design and Development of Syllabus and Didactic Units for Secondary and Upper Secondary Education at the same university in 2019. In the same year, they completed a Course in Multilingualism and Cultural Diversity in the Cities of Ceuta and Melilla at Universidad Pontificia Comillas. Most recently, in 2020, they completed a Course in Spanish Educational Actions Abroad at Universidad Internacional Isabel I de Castilla.
