Dane Smith is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in technology, consulting, and entrepreneurship. Currently serving as the Managing Director of Global Client Engagement at River Point Technology since April 2024, Smith focuses on accelerating digital transformation for Fortune 500 clients. At the University of Chicago, Smith holds dual roles as Entrepreneur in Residence at The Center for RISC and Senior Associate Director at The Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation, driving innovation and helping entrepreneurs commercialize their ideas. As an advisor and investor, Smith contributes to various companies, including BoomCloud 360, Winward Academy, and Nexus Healthcare, focusing on advancements in technology and healthcare solutions. Past roles include President of Civic Resource Group, EVP of Global Sales and Marketing at On-Ramp Wireless, and Vice President of Global Sales at SmartDrive Systems. Dane Smith holds a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Communications from Ohio University and is pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration/Ph.D. at the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.
