Alexander York

Alexander York has a diverse work experience spanning various companies and roles. Alexander currently works at Wabtec Corporation as a Sr. Software Release Engineer since October 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Technology Officer at BOOMN.IO starting in September 2021.

From 2019 to 2023, Alexander was the Ecommerce Business Owner at Plants of Joy LLC. During their tenure, they successfully analyzed customer data, created digital marketing campaigns, and implemented a tailored inventory structure to increase revenue by 65%. Alexander also developed automated scripts to streamline the user experience and significantly reduced order fulfillment times.

Before that, Alexander held positions at Northrop Grumman and Beyond Innovation, LLC. At Northrop Grumman, they served as a Fabrication Laboratory Lead from September 2020 to October 2022, where they launched rapid technology development programs and established cross-collaborative initiatives to enhance additive manufacturing capabilities. Alexander also worked as a Principal Systems Engineer from November 2018 to September 2020, leading the development of cost-reducing product lifecycle management software and contributing to the B-2 program.

At Beyond Innovation, LLC, Alexander served as a Product Development Engineer from January 2013 to December 2018. In this role, they programmed microcontrollers, utilized inclinometers and planar algorithms, and employed rapid prototyping techniques for component fabrication.

Alexander also gained experience at NASA as a System Test Engineer - Subcontractor from January 2018 to November 2018 and at National Science Foundation as an Undergraduate Researcher in 2012.

Their early career includes a role as a Systems Test Engineer at Northrop Grumman from November 2016 to January 2018. Alexander also worked as a Systems Engineer from May 2013 to November 2016, where they led an Integrated Product Team and delivered the Systems Engineering Management Plan on time.

Additionally, Alexander had an internship as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at the United States Department of Defense from January 2012 to May 2012.

Alexander York attended Florida State University from 2009 to 2014. During this time, they pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering and successfully obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in the field.
