Pål Thingbø

Pål Thingbø has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Pål is currently working as a Senior Systems Engineer at boost.ai since 2018. Previously, they worked at Pål Thingbø AS as a Research Professional, where they developed solutions for the web and mobile markets using both Microsoft technologies and open source platforms. Before that, Pål was the Founder of Goya, a software company specializing in the financial industry, where they successfully developed and manufactured the Tradex software package. Oslo Taxi AS also hired Pål as a consultant to digitize their settlement processes and develop a financial management system. Pål worked in this role for over 15 years. Pål was also a consultant at Allianse, Einar Riise & Sønn, and Norges Bank, where they gained experience in application development, maintenance, and system development. Pål started their career as a Cobol programmer at Oslo EDB and later worked as a Pascal programmer at Elf Aquitaine. Pål's early experience included analysis and plotting of core data at Oljedirektoratet.

Pål Thingbø has a diverse education history. Pål started their academic journey at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from 1984 to 1985, where they pursued their high school education. Following this, they attended the BI Norwegian Business School from 1990 to 1992, where they studied finance and obtained a degree in "Bedriftsøkonom." Continuing their pursuit of knowledge, Pål then joined the University of Stavanger from 2009 to 2012, where they focused on mathematics and achieved a Bachelor's degree. In addition to their formal education, Pål also obtained a certification in "msde" from Microsoft in January 1998.
