Stephan Lefrancois has a comprehensive work experience spanning several roles and companies. Starting in 2001, they worked at Nuance Communications as a Software Development Manager, where they led and managed the software development team for various products, including mobile dictation, voicemail to text, and multimodal directory assistance. Stephan also played a key role in architecting and implementing a highly scalable white pages data processor.
From 2007 to 2008, Stephan worked as the Director of Software Development and Architecture at OZ Communications, where they continued their expertise in software development and architecture.
After that, they joined Nokia as a Senior Manager of Server Platform and Architecture from 2008 to 2011, where they played an instrumental role in integrating the Nuance Voice Platform into call center infrastructures.
In 2011, Stephan transitioned to Synchronica as a Senior Manager of Software Development and Architecture. During this time, Synchronica was acquired by Myriad Group in 2012. The responsibilities in this role were similar to their previous role at Myriad Group.
From 2012 to 2014, Stephan worked as the Director of Software Development and Architecture at Myriad Group AG, leading the server software development team for the mobile messaging product portfolio.
Subsequently, Stephan joined Northforge Innovations as a Senior Manager of Engineering from 2014 to 2015.
In 2015, they joined FANS Entertainment Inc. as the Director of Engineering. Their responsibilities included leading the client and server software development teams in architecting, designing, implementing, and operating the mobile client and server components of the platform.
In 2016, Stephan worked as the VP of Engineering at IMMUNIO.
From 2017 to 2021, they served as the Director of Engineering at Trend Micro.
Most recently, Stephan joined boostsecurity.io as the Vice President of Engineering in November 2021.
Throughout their career, Stephan has showcased their expertise in engineering, architecture, and leadership, contributing to the development of innovative solutions in the technology industry.
Stephan Lefrancois's education history includes a Master degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering with a specialty in Telecommunications from Polytechnique Montréal. Stephan attended this institution from 1992 to 1994. Earlier, from 1988 to 1994, they also obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with a specialty in Aeronautics from Polytechnique Montréal.
Additionally, Stephan Lefrancois has completed two additional certifications. In 2016, they obtained a Software Security certificate from Coursera Course Certificates. In 2014, they also earned a certificate in Functional Programming Principles in Scala from Coursera.
