Dave Smarsh, a retired Colonel in the United States Air Force and holder of multiple advanced degrees including a PhD in Atmospheric Chemistry, has extensive experience in meteorology, business development, and education. Currently serving as Vice President of the Monterey Chapter of the Air Force Association, Dave has a distinguished career as a weather forecaster and consultant, providing invaluable insights for weather-related operations and developing innovative predictive algorithms. As a professor at Trident University International, Dave teaches graduate courses focused on humanitarian crisis response. Notably, during tenure as a Program Manager at SRS, Dave achieved a 100% contract win rate for the Navy in fiscal years 2022 and 2023. Additionally, Dave has held leadership positions in various organizations, contributing expertise in scientific program management, risk analysis, and business analytics.
