Maria Romero

Maria Romero is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in systems engineering, architecture, and project management across various organizations. Currently serving as a Senior Principal Solutions Architect at Booz Allen Hamilton, Maria specializes in model-based systems engineering (MBSE) for AI-oriented system architecture and conducts trade studies for AI-assisted schedule optimization. Previous roles include Senior Principal Digital Engineer at Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI), and Associate Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at INCOSE. Maria has a strong foundation in aerospace engineering and systems design, demonstrated through significant contributions at The Aerospace Corporation and Leidos. An advocate for diversity within the engineering field, Maria has also played key roles in developing innovative solutions for unmanned systems and has volunteered as a Sustainable Aviation Fuel Researcher with JetPerfect Foundation.
