Neal Smith, EIT, currently works as a Civil Engineer at Bord na Móna, focusing on peatland engineering for the restoration of boglands to support climate and biodiversity objectives. Additionally, Neal serves as the Choir Administrator at Maynooth University, managing logistical aspects of the Maynooth University Choral Society and leading sectional rehearsals. Experience includes roles as a Summer Day Camp Counselor at The Salvation Army, where Neal facilitated activities for children, and a Seminarian at Tuam Archdiocese, engaging in community support and service preparation. Previous engineering positions include Rock Mechanics Engineer at Golder Associates, where Neal conducted geotechnical analyses, and Junior Tunneling Engineer at GEODATA Engineering S.p.A., with involvement in international metro and hydroelectric projects. Neal holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Minnesota Duluth and is pursuing a Master's degree from St Patrick's Pontifical University, Maynooth, in Liturgical Music, Theology, Philosophy, and Pastoral Studies.
