Rafael Vicario

Rafael Vicario, CFA, CAIA has extensive work experience in the financial industry, with their most recent role being the Head Investment Advisory at Boreal Capital Management since February 2017. Prior to this, they worked at BBVA in the Trading & Treasury department from November 2011 to November 2015. Before their time at BBVA, Rafael was with UBS, specializing in Stock Lending & Borrowing from November 2008 to November 2011. Rafael's career in finance began at JPMorgan Chase & Co. as a Settlement Analyst from November 2006 to November 2008.

Rafael Vicario, CFA, CAIA holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, which they obtained in 2003. Rafael later pursued studies in Journalism at the same university, starting in 2017. In terms of certifications, Rafael achieved the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder designation from the CFA Institute in 2017. Additionally, they obtained the CAIA Charterholder certification from the CAIA Association in May 2022.
