Andreas Lehrmann

Andreas Lehrmann is an accomplished academic and researcher in the fields of machine learning and computer vision, currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at The University of British Columbia since March 2021. Lehrmann has held several leadership roles at Borealis AI since July 2019, including Research Director and Senior Machine Learning Research Lead. Prior experience includes positions as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Facebook and a Postdoctoral Associate at Disney Research. Lehrmann completed doctoral research at Max Planck Institutes Tübingen from April 2012 to February 2016, following a Master’s Degree in Bioinformatics from the University of Tübingen obtained in 2011. Lehrmann earned a Ph.D. in Machine Learning & Computer Vision from ETH Zürich between 2014 and 2016.
