Mahmoud Katanani has a diverse range of work experience across various industries and roles. Mahmoud co-founded eDive in 2022, a startup connecting customers with diving instructors globally. In this role, Mahmoud participated in all aspects of business development and ensured the company's vision was followed.
Prior to eDive, Mahmoud worked at Born Interactive as a Senior Project Manager from 2012 onwards. Mahmoud oversaw complex projects and built e-Commerce Solutions for various vendors in different industries. Mahmoud consistently completed deliverables on or before the deadline and within budget. Mahmoud also troubleshooted technological issues and improved website performance through A/B testing.
Before that, Mahmoud served as a Master Scuba Diver Instructor at PADI, where they founded and managed a dive training business. Mahmoud issued over 250 diving certificates and handled safety procedures and equipment. Mahmoud also built the business website and managed social media platforms and marketing.
Earlier in their career, Mahmoud worked as a Technical Engineer at Security Matterz, providing IT security support to clients. Mahmoud installed and configured security software and hardware, provided comprehensive remote and onsite support, and analyzed potential security risks.
Mahmoud also worked as an IT Executive at East & West Trading and Contracting Company, where they analyzed intrusion and technical problems, monitored networks, installed software and hardware for cybersecurity, and inspected websites for firewalls' proficiency.
At Webhelp, Mahmoud provided technical phone support for D-Link products and assisted customers with complex technical issues. Mahmoud maintained updated knowledge of company products and successfully troubleshooted customer networks.
Mahmoud also gained experience in various other roles, including IT Executive positions, where they managed network infrastructure, secured the network, and installed and configured software and hardware.
Lastly, they briefly worked as an IT Executive at Talafone.
Mahmoud Katanani completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Lebanese American University, studying from 1998 to 2002. Prior to that, they attended ISC from 1994 to 1997, although no degree or specific field of study was mentioned for this period.
In addition to their formal education, Mahmoud has obtained several certifications. In 2011, they became a Master Scuba Diving Instructor and obtained this certification from PADI. In 2010, they also obtained the JNCIA-FWV certification from Juniper Networks.
