Sveinung Heggen

Sveinung Heggen is the current General Counsel at Borregaard. Sveinung has extensive experience in M&A, having participated in more than 50 transactions in various countries across Europe. In addition to their work in M&A, Heggen has also negotiated supply agreements and served as a legal advisor for hydro power and energy.

Prior to their work at Borregaard, Heggen was the Deputy Head of Division at Finansdepartementet, where they were responsible for drafting and approving new tax laws, as well as overseeing tax assessment and enforcement.

Sveinung Heggen has a cand.jur. from the University of Oslo (UiO) and is a former student of Ås videregående skole. Sveinung is also a retired lieutenant colonel from the Norwegian Air Force, where they studied administrasjon og logistikk at Luftforsvarets skoler Stavern (LSS).

Sveinung Heggen reports to Per A. Sørlie, President and CEO. Some of their coworkers include Kristin Misund - Senior Vice President, R&D and Business Development, Gisle L. Johansen - Executive Vice President Speciality Cellulose and Fine Chemicals, and Ole Gunnar Jakobsen - Plant Director, Borregaard's Sarpsborg Site (Norway).
