Samantha Tom

Samantha Tom has held a variety of roles in their professional career, beginning with Entrepreneur, Burlington Manager for the Student Works Management Program in 2009. Samantha then held the role of Product Marketing Coordinator for Exide Technologies in 2010, followed by Account Services Intern for Saatchi & Saatchi in 2011. In the same year, they were an Account Coordinator for john st. Samantha then worked as a Research Assistant for Western University in 2013, followed by Summer Law Student for Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) in 2014. In 2015, they were an Articling Student for BLG, and in 2016 they were a Lawyer for the same organization. Samantha then held the roles of Director, Legal Counsel and Senior Manager, Legal Counsel for President's Choice Financial from 2018 to 2021. Currently, they are the Senior Director, Head of Legal & Compliance for Borrowell.

Samantha Tom obtained a High School Diploma from St. Ignatius of Loyola Secondary School in 2007. Samantha then attended Queen's University, graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) in 2011. In 2010, they studied Business at Nanyang Technological University Singapore. Finally, they obtained a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Western University in 2015. In August 2022, they will obtain a Certified Information Privacy Professional (Canada) from the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
