Over the years, he has provided close daily support to in-house procurement and technology teams, assisting them to achieve their commercial and risk management goals on numerous software, cloud, consultancy, market data, index licensing, and other transactions. James has worked with compliance and risk departments to help organizations comply with regulatory requirements affecting IT and operations functions. James has also advised on the IT aspects of recovery and resolution strategies for investment banks, having first-hand experience of resolving the legal issues arising after the insolvency of a major investment bank. In addition, James advises on open source licensing and is a BlackDuck certified legal professional.
