Mehdi Najafi

Mehdi Najafi is a highly experienced Vitreoretinal Surgeon, currently serving as the Founder and Vitreoretinal Surgeon at New England Retina Care since February 2024, and also working at Boston Laser - Boston Eye Group since July 2019. Prior to these roles, Mehdi Najafi completed a Vitreoretinal Surgery Fellowship at the University of Minnesota Medical Center from July 2017 to July 2019, and has been a Resident in Ophthalmology at SUNY Upstate Medical University since July 2014. Educationally, Mehdi Najafi holds a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Tehran University of Medical Sciences, a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from SUNY Upstate Medical University, and a Fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery from the University of Minnesota.
