Alojz Kajinic

Alojz Kajinic has an extensive work experience in various roles related to metallurgy and alloy development. Alojz is currently working as a Senior Advisory Alloy Development Engineer at Boston Metal since April 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Quality Control Director & Chief Metallurgist at MM Metals USA, LLC from November 2020 to April 2023. Alojz also worked as a Metallurgist Staff Specialist R&D at Carpenter Technology Corporation from May 2019 to June 2020. Before that, they served as a Technical R&D Specialist at Arconic from November 2016 to March 2019. Alojz also worked at Alcoa as the Section Head for Materials Modeling from September 2015 to October 2016. Earlier in their career, they held positions such as Senior Research Engineer at ATI Powder Metals from October 2009 to September 2015, Senior Research Engineer at Crucible Research from November 1999 to October 2009, Research Engineer in High-Temperature Corrosion at Sandvik Steel from June 1998 to November 1999, and Visiting Research Scientist at the University of New Mexico from April 1997 to September 1997.

Alojz Kajinic has a strong educational background in metallurgy and finance. Alojz obtained a Dipl.-Ing. degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Sarajevo, where they studied from 1986 to 1991. Later, they pursued further education and earned a Ph.D. in Physical Metallurgy from the Technical University of Denmark, which they completed between 1995 and 1998. Additionally, Kajinic holds an MBA in Finance from Duquesne University, which they obtained from 2001 to 2004.

In addition to their formal education, Kajinic has also obtained several certifications related to data science. These include completing various courses on Coursera such as Data Science Capstone, Data Science Specialization, Developing Data Products, Practical Machine Learning, Regression Models, Statistical Inference, Introduction to Programming with MATLAB, Reproducible Research, Exploratory Data Analysis, Getting and Cleaning Data, R Programming, and The Data Scientist’s Toolbox. These certifications were achieved between May 2017 and March 2018.
