Greg Newton

Greg Newton is an accomplished musician with extensive experience as a bassoonist, currently performing with the Boston Classical Orchestra since September 1993, the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra since April 1984, and Symphony New Hampshire as a bassoonist and Personnel Director since September 1987. In addition to orchestral engagements, Greg Newton has maintained a freelance career since January 1976, offering services as a bassoon, saxophone, and clarinet performer, teacher, and musical contractor. Educationally, Greg Newton holds a Master of Music degree in Bassoon from the New England Conservatory of Music and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music from the University at Buffalo, further enhancing a robust foundation in music.
