Sheryl Clark

President & CEO, BostonProper at Boston Proper

Sheryl Clark has extensive work experience in the retail industry. Sheryl started their career at Bloomingdale's as an Executive Trainee and worked their way up to become a Buyer. Sheryl then joined Gap, where they held various leadership roles, including VP of Gap Men's and VP of Women's Merchandising. At Old Navy - Gap Inc., they served as EVP of Merchandising and later as SVP of Adult Merchandising and Canada. During their time at Old Navy, they played a key role in strategic change initiatives and represented the company externally to the financial community and investors. In 2008, Sheryl became the President and CEO of Boston Proper, where they were responsible for the brand's vision, growth, and direction. Sheryl oversaw all aspects of business operations, led mergers and acquisitions, and prepared the company for acquisitions. After the acquisition of Boston Proper by Chico's FAS, they continued to serve as the President of Boston Proper, a division of Chico's FAS. In 2021, they became a founding member of Chief, an organization that supports and unites women leaders. Sheryl also serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce and is an Advisory Board Member for Total Retail. Overall, Sheryl Clark has demonstrated expertise in driving business growth, strategic leadership, and successful integration and acquisition processes.

Sheryl Clark's education history includes obtaining a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Economics with a minor in Fashion Merchandising from SUNY Oneonta, which they attended from 1983 to 1987. In addition, they earned an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Fashion Merchandising from the Fashion Institute of Technology, where they studied from 1986 to 1987. It is worth noting that they also hold a certification in EDITED Retail, which they obtained in July 2021.
