Madison Johnson is an experienced Technical Director at The Daily Iowan since February 2022, responsible for training staff on control booth technologies, setting up cameras, and leading teams during live broadcasts. Past roles include Television News Reporter, where responsibilities encompassed summarizing news, recording video, conducting interviews, operating audio and graphics, and directing live newscasts. Currently, Madison serves as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Iowa, focusing on historical research related to Black Culture in the 20th-century Midwest. Previous internship experiences include Proprietary Content Editorial Intern at EBSCO Information Services, Assistant to Project Manager at the University of Iowa, Summer Intern at FINCA International, and Summer Intern at NOISE Omaha, all of which contributed to Madison's comprehensive skill set in research, editing, and project management. Madison is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in History at the University of Iowa, expected to graduate in May 2025.
