Hugo Slepicka has worked in a variety of roles since 2007. Hugo began their career as a Software Developer for Girocamp Descartáveis Ltda. From 2010 to 2011, they worked as an Analyst Programmer for Transdata Smart and the Brazilian Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM). From 2011 to 2016, they worked as a Computer Engineer for the Brazilian Synchrotron Light Laboratory. During this time, they were the lead developer of the LabWeb Project, and developed Python scripts for experiment setup, data acquisition, processing, and visualization. From 2016 to 2021, they worked as a Senior Software Application Developer and Architect at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, where they developed and maintained the open-source Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System (EPICS) toolkit and architected and developed the Next Generation User Interface project. In 2021, they began working at BotCity as Head of Developer Experience, and at Bot Repository as a Reviewer. Hugo also began working at Osprey Distributed Control Systems as a Controls Engineer.
Hugo Slepicka obtained a Specialist degree in Automation and Control of Industrial and Agro-Industrial Process from Universidade Estadual de Campinas between 2013 and 2014. Hugo also obtained a BEng in Computer Engineering from Universidade São Francisco between 2007 and 2011. In addition, they obtained a Technical degree in Information Systems from FIEC - Fundação Indaiatubana de Educação e Cultura between 2005 and 2006.
