Mompati Nkhumane

Mompati Nkhumane has a diverse work experience spanning over a period of more than two decades. Mompati began their career as an Accounts Assistant at Bemco Caterpillar in 1996, where they handled creditor reconciliations and payments, as well as managed fixed assets. Mompati then joined Mascom Wireless in 1998 as an Assistant Accountant, responsible for managing dealer accounts and producing monthly management accounts.

In 2005, Mompati moved to Citizen Entrepreneural Development Agency as a Management Accountant. Here, they compiled and consolidated the agency-wide budget, prepared monthly and quarterly management accounts, and presented them to the executive management and audit committees.

Since 2012, Mompati has been working at Botswana Insurance Company as the Head of Finance. Mompati'sresponsibilities include preparation of annual budgets, monthly and quarterly management accounts, and presentation of quarterly results to the Audit Committee. Mompati is also responsible for the preparation of financial statements for both BIC and its subsidiary Lion Assurance Company (LAC) in Uganda and ensuring tax compliance.

Mompati Nkhumane pursued their education with dedication and achieved multiple degrees in the field of accounting. Starting from 1992 to 1996, they attended the University of Botswana, where they earned their Bachelor of Commerce with a specialization in Accounting. Later, from 2005 to 2011, they attended the Botswana Accountancy College where they pursued a degree in CIMA (Associate Chartered Management Accountant).
