Rafael Katz

Rafael Katz, MA, is an experienced professional in environmental education and program development, currently serving as a Forest School Teacher, Farm Camp Specialist, and Camp Counselor at Boulder JCC since May 2020. Katz previously held roles including Farm Hand at Maplecroft Farm Boulder and Master’s Research & Marketing Intern at Thorne Nature Experience, where significant contributions included optimizing participation retention. Additional experience encompasses grant writing and administrative tasks at the Rocky Mountain Peace and Justice Center, animal care at South Florida Wildlife Center, and various positions in retail and customer service. Educational achievements include a Master of Arts in Resilient Leadership from Naropa University and a Bachelor of Science in Parks and Recreation Management from Florida International University, accompanied by extensive coursework and experience in nature studies and leadership.
