Simon Gaynor

Simon Gaynor is a software engineer and senior technology consultant with extensive experience in embedded systems, Linux, and board bring-up. Currently serving as a Software Engineer IV at Boundary Devices since June 2023, Simon has also held roles as a Senior Technology Consultant at SimonG Tec ab and a Linux embedded specialist at BTG INSTRUMENTS AB. Previous positions include senior roles at Happiest Baby and FLIR Systems, focusing on Linux Yocto and video processing, as well as consultancy in Lua for Aptilo Networks. With a strong foundation in IOT and embedded programming since starting at ÅF in 2002, Simon has worked on various architectures, including ARM64 and Power PC. Simon holds a degree in Microelectronics from Technological University Dublin and additional educational qualifications from Senior College Ballyfermot.
