Carolann Padgett - Weinstein

Carolann Padgett-Weinstein has a diverse work experience that spans several industries. Carolann started their career as a Social Services Investigator & Case Manager at DFCS in 1988, where they were responsible for investigating allegations of child abuse, neglect, and exploitation. Carolann then joined the US Department of Labor Job Corps in 1995 as an Admissions and Placement Counselor, recruiting and assessing youths for residential, academic, and vocational training programs. In 1999, Carolann became a Learning Specialist/Educator at the Columbia County Board of Education, delivering instruction and counseling to students with special education disabilities.

Carolann's career also includes roles at Augusta Christian Academy as a Middle School Teacher and at the Maternal and Infant Care Project at the Medical College of Georgia as a Social Work Intern. In 2017, they worked as a Galley Reviewer at Penguin Random House, where they read books before publication and provided feedback to promote the publications. Carolann also served as an Assistant Professor and then Professor at Paine College from 2019 to 2020.
